I agree good candidates are needed. It’s wild to me we’re already being told “you BETTER vote for Newsom” 3 years in advance. Literally telling them now don’t run him and they’re mad.

Pretty sure I recently read that the National Trust for Historic Preservation sued him for the destruction he already caused and to prevent further construction. Hopefully the lawsuit is successful.

I hate it. I don’t live in a state that’s doing this, but I’m sure they’ll push for federal. I love my job, but this bs is so frustrating.

A lot of libraries with these kinds of laws have been posting signs saying anyone under 18 can’t get a library card or be unaccompanied in the library.

So what’s going to happen is they’re effectively going to remove Children’s areas and programming from libraries. I’m a Children’s Librarian and essentially, the rule is probably going to become “no, I can’t find that book unless your parent signs a consent form. Ask them.”

I have MANY. If I love a book, I would be upset that it’s poorly adapted.
