How about... No?
(2/3) If enacted, Member States could avail of additional EU funding to support their citizens in accessing safe abortion healthcare, – in cases where such care is not available in their home country ...
(3/3) It is important to note that it will be voluntary for Member States to join, – there will be no interference with existing national laws.”

Thank you, @joannasw.bsky.social
February 25th, save the date!
Happy Valentines!
This.
(2/2) But still, the final decision is yet to be made. How will the EU Commission decide? Will they listen to 1.1 million EU Citizens and the majority of the politicians, or will they choose the far right agenda?
In just 12 days, the EU Commission will make its final decision about My voice, My choice initiative.
We collected 1.1 million signatures, won every vote in Brussels and gained the support of the EU Parliament.

We believe you will make the right decision.

Ursula von der Leyen, this post is for you. The fate of more than 20 million women is now in your hands.
20 million women who don’t have access to safe abortion in the EU.
20 million women who can literally die if something goes wrong during the pregnancy.

Amazing news!!! 😍😍 Ministers from Austria, Estonia, Finland, France, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden have sent a letter to the Commission to urge them to accept our initiative for safe abortion.
Now, Ursula von der Leyen has no more excuses!
(3/3) This is a good first step, with more action and good implementation needed.
(2/3) Victims will be able to report these images either directly to tech firms or through Ofcom, which would trigger an official alert. Platforms would then be responsible for removing the images, including any reposts across all platforms where the content appears.
The UK has described deepfakes and revenge porn as a “national emergency of online misogyny.”
Adding that such content must be removed within 48 hours, or technology companies risk being blocked and fined millions in the UK.

(2/2) After more than one million signatures and strong support in the European Parliament, this is another major step forward. Ursula von der Leyen, we’ve done everything we could. Now it’s your turn to be on the right side of history.
Nine EU governments have officially called on the European Commission to examine how to move forward with our proposal to create a fund that would help people access abortion across Europe. (1/2)
