Guests sipped on Prohibition-themed cocktails & mocktails while enjoying a fascinating talk by Duluth historian Tony Dierckins. A cozy bonfire kept guests warm as history was told.

Currently, that involves tuckpointing the mansion, repairing windows, and replacing storm windows. These repairs protect the interior of Glensheen from water damage and ensure the windows are protected and usable for years to come.

Yesterday, 5 full-time employees and 2 students took to Glensheen's Adopt-A-Highway spot just past Two Harbors to clean up a total of 4.5 miles of the North Shore Drive!

Check out the coolest ones during a 60-minute Self-Guided Classic Mansion tour. The tour consists of the first 3 floors and the most decorative rooms of Glensheen. The perfect end of summer activity!

Only Guided Classic Mansion and Guided Full Mansion Tours are offered during our extended hours (5-7 pm), so check out the guided tours before they are gone for the season!

Whether returning or new to UMD, all students are welcome at Glensheen. UMD students receive free Classic Mansion Tours and free Grounds Passes, as well as discounted Full Mansion Tours. We also have a variety of events that students can join us for!

See the details of the 3rd floor and the rest of the mansion on a Guided Full Mansion tour during our extended hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and August 31st. The last day to see the mansion in a different light during these extended hours is Sunday, August 31st.

2025 Concerts on the Pier schedule update!
Big Wave Dave & The Ripples, with opener Born Too Late, will be making up a rained-out day. See them perform on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025!
This will be the last performance of the 10th anniversary of Concerts on the Pier. It will be unforgettable!
Although we weren't on the pier, we had a blast last week with Feeding Leroy and Shane Nelson!
