Miniature watercolour painting of a red brick building with white trim and a brown door.
Trying something new: miniature watercolour painting, inspired in part by @lesliestroz.bsky.social (who isn't posting here it seems, so find her on YouTube). First watercolour since I was a kid, many moons ago -- somehow a lot more fun this time around.

... I'm simply speechless. Stunning.
Almost verbatim my reaction as well!
Thank you :)
I've mostly posted linocut but I also enjoy woodworking! This one's the best thing I ever made on a lathe: walnut and maple vase, ~18" tall, modeled after an Alhambra-style ceramic one I saw at the Pergamonmuseum in Berlin.
Some tags for the tags gods: #woodworking, #woodturning, #lathe, #turning
Hey, he's still got it!
Thought so too, but I'm not 100% sure.
Hot damn! Saw the WIP but didn't clock her expression until now π€―
Thanks! That was the very first lino I never made and went "Huh, this is kinda neat."
Thank you :)
Show me how you draw / paint women π©΅
(OK, these are linocut prints, including my very first one ever)
A black-and-white print of the movie monster Kraken emerging from Austin's Town Lake.
I've (*very* intermittently) worked on a series of "Kaiju in Austin" prints for a few years now. I think I have two more in me but this is an older one: The Kraken (1981 Harryhausen version) emerging from Town Lake. And no, it's not deep enough for that π
The textures, the lines, the clean pull... Just fantastic π€
(This Heathen Land has been on repeat so much over here I might wear out the record)
Boy, our politics are toast!
... I'll workshop it.
Mockup of a fake 1970s movie about a Dirty Harry-type Orlando cop called "Tough Shitty" McGritty starring Joe Don Baker.
I don't remember quite how it came up be but during the lockdown my wife and I had a running joke about a hard-boiled Orlando cop called "Tough Shitty" McGritty. Eventually I had to mock up the movie poster and there was only one man who could possibly be the star.
Amazing and cleverly done!
QRP with someone (something?) watery.

A black and white print of early blues and soul musician Sister Rosetta Tharpe, playing a guitar, with a metallic gold halo behind her head.
Sister Rosetta Tharpe, the incredible and underappreciated godmother of rock n roll.
This is a #linocut print with faux gold gilding. I think I printed it before switching to a ballbearing baren -- if you haven't tried using one, you're missing out.
Also, here's a #printmaking for good measure π
Far too close to home... er, work π«
"Janus," after the two-faced Roman god. The body is carved and dyed maple, sandwiching an LED strip. No clue why I made it!
And hello new folks -- thank you for following my silly account! I make linocut prints but #woodworking is another interest of mine, so you might see more of this too.
Hot dang! The black and red make it look like a Dylan Dog cover π
A #linocut print from a year ago: my response to a prompt on a small-but-delightful Discord asking for artwork of monsters in ads. I went for a mid-century magazine look, so it had to be for Morley cigarettes and feature an Eames lounge.
And just to be clear: smoking kills. Don't do it.
Thank you! It's a standalone, a tribute to Kathryn Hunter's performance in The Tragedy of Macbeth. She played the three witches so I tried capturing all of that coming from one person.
A reduction cut where I went waaay too heavy with the ink on the last layer. They've been stuck to the wall for nine months and still feel tacky π«
What a beautiful David-Bowie-as-the-Goblin-King-ass animal.
