Short answer re: overwhelmed: yes. I'm not alone in that, though.
I've been in and out of the hospital a lot recently. Complications from transplant meds. My health is a constant challenge.
So that's a factor in this new album, alongside societal collapse... not to put too fine a point on it.

Let me be clear: I’m glad Kristi Noem was fired. But we still have to abolish ICE.
Kristi Noem has done a stunning amount of damage and it’s good she’s gone.
But this doesn’t change the fact that we need a complete overhaul of DHS, impartial investigations into the killings of two American citizens, and information on children that were taken from Minnesota.
I’m going to work on a posthumous album for my friend Tim.

I’m no major fan of Wes Anderson , but the fact that his style is so easily parodied makes him more cool to me, not less.

Reminds me that my bandmate Rachel and I used to do a satirical version of this song in the tour van. (The satire was affectionate.)
Blonde Redhead are completely brilliant, but certainly fair targets of an SNL sketch.
