Manchester United. Season ticket holder since 2013 - it’s probably all my fault! πŸ™ˆ

With this weeks news of season ticket price increases, I wonder if there’ll be another announcement on the anniversary of the initial new stadium announcement giving us an update of some real progress as an attempt to distract us from the price rise.

This coming Wednesday marks a year since the announcement of the new stadium & the release of all the initial designs, etc.

Since then, there have been no tangible updates or progress.

A whole year of zero progress really isn’t a good look!

{more…}

Not to be too dramatic after 1 loss, but we can’t let a rot set in now.

Carrick & Ole are obviously different people, but remembering just how much we fell off a cliff at the end of Ole’s 1st season after his initial bounce.

Need to beat Villa & avoid any idea of that happening this season!

We absolutely wasted about 80 minutes of that 2nd half by not taking the game to 10 men.

Let time slip away, gave them hope & fight & sure enough they caught us with a sucker punch the minute we actually came out a bit.

Well that was very, very poor.

I did think before the game this would be our toughest remaining fixture this season & the 1st half went how I thought it would, with Cas & Mainoo struggling against Joelinton & Tonali’s legs.

But should have been game over once they got the red card.

This is an excellent point to be fair.

The problem with what Ratcliffe said wasn’t so much the point he was trying to make, regardless of whether we agree with it or not.

The problem was his choice of language, so to repeat the offending word in protest is a little odd on reflection.

As my mate I sit with at the ground & I have said, it’s just nice to look forward to coming to the match rather than it feeling like a chore as it has done some many times over the past few years, none more so than this time last year!

One thing I would say is them scoring early gave us something to aim for, which we know this team can do.

I’d like to see evidence that we can control a game from start to finish before I fully believe β€œwe’re back”

Massively important win, because we won’t win every game & I worry about Wednesday.

Not sure anyone played especially well today, but I guess that could be seen as a good sign where you get the job done with no fuss?

Moyes: β€œwe kept pushing United until the last minute.”

Yea, literally at every single fucking corner, you knob!

Leny Yoro getting booked for James Tarkowski doing this to him.

Done him a disservice there! 80 yards!!

Glad that didn’t go unnoticed!

Absolutely rapid!

How has no-one on TV mentioned the turn of pace from Sesko to get up the pitch for his goal yet?!?

He covered 40 odd yards in absolutely no time at all!

Big praise for Leny Yoro as well.

Had a really tough 1st half of the season, suffering a classic dose of β€˜2nd season syndrome” and rightly taken out of the firing line.

But after his excellent cameo against West Ham last time out, he did extremely well in a tough, dog fight of a match tonight!

23.02.2026 22:06 πŸ‘ 14 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 4 πŸ“Œ 0

Glad to get out of there with a draw!

Classic, drab Nuno match and we just couldn’t get going at all.

The league is so odd this season that picking up draws when you don’t play well rather than losing could be huge in the end.

β€œIt’s always the ones you least expect” ?!?!

More like β€œlads, it’s only Spurs.”

I’m just pessimistic by nature off the back of the past 12 years so will literally never be confident of a United win until we prove we can win more often than not.

And my god, is Carrick doing his best to prove that!

07.02.2026 15:18 πŸ‘ 4 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Probably more worried than I should be about today.

Spurs have a decent away record and β€œit’s always the ones you least expect.”

Getting 3 points on the table before the others play this weekend would be huge, though!

Meanwhile at Eastlands

Tough game successfully navigated!

We looked really good in parts, didn’t look after the ball well enough in others & invited Fulham on to us way too much in the period they got their goals.

But to go on from that late equaliser & get a winner!!

These past 3 weeks have been such a joy!

Tough game today for all the reasons we already know.

Fulham are a decent side but one we should be taking the game to.

Different challenge from the last 2 matches and one that most managers since Fergie have struggled with.

Reading between the lines here, but do we think this is a bit of a β€œgoodbye” from his mates and he’s off today/before the window closes?

30.01.2026 13:26 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 1

You know we’ve played well when both Guardiola and Arteta have been gracious in defeat against us!

OH MY GOD!!

What a game! What a performance!

Those goals!!! WOW!!!

I look at the Chelsea squad and always think it’s the biggest bunch of rag tag misfits ever assembled.

I’ve never seen such an uninspiring group of players on paper in my life.

And yet, they seem to do alright. Might be more a reflection on how poor the league is than how capable they are.

From my Facebook memories today, a post from 2014 in the depth of Moyes despair.

It’s a shame that 12 years later, my attempt at wit in this post rings more true than ever!

The way Carrick took each game on its own merit in terms of his team selection in his last caretaker stint, it wouldn’t surprise me if we saw Sesko in for Amad & Heaven in for Martinez today.

Guess it’ll be a case of how much emphasis he puts on combatting Arsenal’s set piece threat.

We can all be over analytical about players these days.

β€œHis legs have gone.” β€œHe’s been good but we need someone more mobile.”

But ultimately if you apply yourself properly, you will endear yourself to the supporters.

I, like many other Reds, will look back on Casemiro’s time at the club fondly.
