Mahmood is every bit a bad as May, Patel and Braverman.
These adverts were so good.
Clearly made with such affection for the source.
The Shadows gag just gave me a heart attack.
Wow, really pushing hard for a particular version of "culture", in an almost revolutionary way. There must be a term to describe that kind of thing.
Earthing was a good album, probably his best post-Scary Monsters album (it's between that and 1. Outside).
I'm a bit surprised at Ricochet, there's far worse songs on the album.
Gerry Anderson was only a few decades out.
Really? I thought it was a bit niche.

Like Kemi Badenoch, I'm also ashamed of British animals. These are the images I want to see on our bank notes
My vote goes to Harambe!
It takes a special kind of political talent to put yourself in a position where you actually have to deny being ashamed of British animals.
"I absolutely deny saying that every time I see a badger I want to cringe and squirrels literally make me puke."
Still laughing.
"I got arrested for throwing bombs during an anti-Muslim protest."
"Wow, that sucks. I'll bet you were just expecting a normal day enjoying the city in the abnormally warm weather, so how did that happen?"
"I threw bombs during an anti-Muslim protest."
Yep, I haven't changed my mind...

Haha, love it when those "clever" penalties go wrong.
Good luck to them, I hope they stay safe.

Yeah, it's one of my absolute favourite moments from the books. Totally stunning.
My comment to vigilantes.
"I believe in law and order. Huntley committed a terrible crime and he got a severe sentence as a result. That sentence was NOT that he be beaten to death with an iron bar. Many people here seem not to believe in the laws of the UK, but to prefer the laws of the jungle."
My Mum used to read The Selfish Giant to me when I was young and I thought it was OK, I quite liked it. Years later I read it to my son and it absolutely floored me.
Haven't seen that one!

Hmm, not exactly a vintage year for film but it has to be a toss-up between these two.
that's a bit unfair, but Labour could find much better ways to react to it than they have so far.
I think the common factor here for many people is the Greens being willing to challenge established thinking on issues where the status quo is clearly unsatisfactory, while Labour are seemingly too reactionary/scared to do so. And obviously it's easy for minor parties to do this so you can argue...
I agree those issues should be more salient now, but I think Trump being in the WH complicates things.Even if Polanski's proposed solutions are dumb, his argument that this should change how we think about defence and FP is going to appeal to ppl who don't buy Starmer's "business as usual" approach.
Similarly with drug policy. Maybe the Greens' policies on liberalisation go to far and aren't well thought through, but current policies are hardly wildly successful and dismissing any notion of liberalisation out of hand isn't convincing. And labelling the Greens as "pro-rape" just looks mad.
That's perfect ๐
