Nooo, not Reboot :( I've only gotten to attend once and it was the best gamedev event... I had already planned the next 3 years to attend too. I hope the industry finds a way to help Damira and Reboot.
You can now also watch a two-hour video of me explaining Australia Did It while showing off both a disastrous run and a pretty solid run of the demo! Obviously you can just watch for a few minutes and see if you like it, too.

Can't wait for my life savings to get hallucinated away by an AI agent's code ๐ซ
Probably an AI something something is who ๐ฎโ๐จ
I can only make out one of these and i am intrigued. ๐
It's almost time for Ramadan, as Muslims tonight peered to the crescent moon to see if the month of Ramadan starts tonight or the day after. As with every year, I'm starting this thread so that people can ask questions, and learn about Ramadan from one person's perspective of it.
It's time for Cyberstan to pay for Malevelon Creek...
On the "what we've been dealing with this time as the Turkish games industry" news:

I was at @globalgamejam.bsky.social over the weekend again for the 12th year and allow me to share these "Jammers" to bless your timelines. Courtesy of Turkish jam sites. (Kedi = Cat. Yes I yoinked a badge for it)
I regret to inform everyone that the smartest money people out there are, overwhelmingly, dumb as a rock

Leaving 2025 properly behind and starting 2026 with the traditional UESP calendar and yet another amazing package of arts and goods from @uesp.net
To another 30 years, friends. Let lore be your armor! ๐งก
Thank you Julz! Yeah I had always thought "ehh I'll get to it later once I'm done with all these other things" and then learned it the hard way thats not a great strategy after all ๐คฃ Now its all about doing it both. Take care and do all the things we shall see how that goes lol
2025 was a transition year. So many outstanding injuries from years prior piled up due to trying to do everything. The job, my indie game, streaming, the podcast... and my body started to signal collapse so I took a break from it all and started fixing my body. Hence the general absence...
Have I neglected my projects and streams in 2025? Yes.
Have I instead recovered from several injuries and chronic pain, and got in the best shape of my life at 32? Also yes.
And now its time to get back to it all and cook in 2026.
You too Julz! We shall conquer 26'! \o/
I made it
All I want from 2026 is for @unity.com to finally update the stupid wheel collider.. ๐ฅฒ
As amazing as that could be, that also requires funding, which has also been running dry in the industry with conditions getting worse and worse when and if a publisher/investor might be interested in a deal :/
I am tired of seeing friends and colleagues, people I love and respect as a fan, people I know to be great at what they do as a dev, to be treated this way by this damn industry man :(
This sounds amazing and I'm looking forward to reading it! โจ๏ธโจ๏ธ

Starting page of the chapter "YOU AGAIN?" THE NEURODIVERGENT EXPERIENCE OF LIVING MULTIPLE LIVES IN THE ELDER SCROLLS V: SKYRIM by TARJA PORKKA-KONTTURI.
So, there you have it - who would have thought that a make-believe world with dragons, magic and a bunch of cheese wheels could mean so much? As we finish our discussion on video games, neurodiversity, emotions and how they all fit together, I can't help but smile at the idea that each of us will find our own version of 'home' in Skyrim. Whether you play as a brave hero or a cunning thief, or just dealing with the twists and turns of everyday life, I hope your journey is full of fun, surprises and maybe a tasty sweet roll or two. After all, in this great adventure called life, we could all do with a little Dragonborn resilience and the warmth of a virtual hearth. Happy gaming, fellow travelers. "May your roads lead to warm sands." - Khajiit, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Itโs been a long journey, but today is the day I get to reveal the book that makes me a published author. How about that! ๐ซจ โThe Psychgeist of Pop Culture โ The Elder Scrollsโ is out!

Experimenting with various formulas/geometry and resolutions for the terrain deformation and I may or may not, possibly, maybe perhaps, messed up certain calculations. Just a feeling. A hunch. Couldn't really say... ๐ค
That said; the game has great bones. Its fun, its runs smooth for early access, and understansbly received well. I just hope through this success they stand by their word and do right by the VAs of the industry.
Better be a higher up on the list of the things to do with how well the early access has been received but as you said... we'll see.
Well turns out Jump Space uses AI for voices. Could've just not added voice to said items or whatever during Early Access. ๐ฉ
Fff... the AI Generated Content Disclouse should be higher up on the Steam Page...
Well, damn. AI continue to ruin all things good :( I'll see if i can find any info on whether if they changed course, or if it was at least one of those that pay the actors themselves for licensing etc, though im not hopeful :/
AI voice as in the voice actor for the AI npc in the game or are they using actual AI voice generators in the game?
Just played the prologue and its gorgeouuus. Its scratching that ever existing space-scifi itch nicely. Time to hop on with a crew...
