Watched education minister on C4 News re SEND reforms - majority of SEND pupils will get ISP, the contents of which will be determined by schools and will not be legally enforceable. I envisage a lot of safeguarding issues being raised with with LAs over lack of support. #SEND

Mainstream schools that think 1-1 support is unnecessary are NOT inclusive, they are exclusionary and dismissive of people's needs. Cherry Fields Primary School is being touted on BBC News as a shining example of inclusion with this one size fits all approach. 🤷

Does the govt not understand that it's already only those most in need who have EHCPs? Do they think local authorities just hand them out to anyone who asks? I don't see how their proposed reforms are going to make any difference really.
