what is it going to take for the city to protect its people? the fire budget took the most severe hit in the city budget this year. unhoused people, as always, will have to bear the brunt of environmental impact, insurance is revoking fire protections, what is it going to take
the la fires are so shockingly bad. i don’t remember anything coming even close except the malibu fires that scattered ash all across the area in like 2007. this is unreal.

this is put very concisely and I just wanna report from middle age that you can fight this within yourself. it happens! you soften! but you just keep checking in with yourself and being sure that softening is toward people who are threatened, who have it worse than you. simple internal housekeeping!
