When will Blackheath see the beautiful autumn colours? It does vary a bit each autumn but typically April and May is the best time for colour. We need a little less rain and some cooler, clear nights, for the best colour.

My first and second snow chase vehicles, back in the old days. Can't beat those old Coronas! Needed biceps like Arni to turn a sharp corner. No power steering or air con for summer. 🙃

BTW, we are now in the longest stretch in the BMs (Blackheath) without a significant snowfall, since the 1800s.

One of the biggest Orchard Swallowtails I've ever seen. Near record size. Huge. Bigger than some small birds. Effectively landed on my shoulder, then right in front of me.

Reports of possible tornado in Megalong Valley on Sunday night (21/12). Looks like an EF-0. May stronger. One observer said it twisted down a driveway then damaged a home. Many trees snapped at local school etc. Please let me know, if you know more.

Good to see senility is kicking in, at sixty. I wore my swim shorts inside out, to the local pool. I did wonder why a few folk were staring. 🙃

What a boofhead. Due to hirsutism (I'm awfully hairy) I always wear a rash vest but my wife had a big laugh when I arrived home. 🤭

I thought Frydo was so inappropriate. Sure, debate the issues at another time but his monologue was out of line. ✌️

I can understand on day one of the event but to have a full screen zoom image of the murderer today? That was awful.

Just been reminded why I don't watch commercial TV anymore, except for the cricket. Awful sensationalist Bondi shooting footage by Seven News Sydney that is just not needed on the day of funerals - and traumatic for many.

Switched off, immediately. I'm not idealising ABC TV, either. ✌️

Well, you wouldn't want me in your rugby team (at 174cm and 70kg) but I'm good on hills and stairs.

About 200,000 stairs this year.

I was 80kg, in 2022, with a BP of 150/88. Now 115/70. Resting pulse, 44.

Dodgy shoulder though. And lost a lot of muscle in last 10 years.🙏

For those that like their tennis, I've certainly noticed something with Alcaraz. He's grown some more. I did the same thing in my early twenties, grew another inch. This happens to young men, at times. Alcaraz looks a genuine six feet one, now. As Sinner is over 6'3".

It really is that vibrant, the purple one. In reality, the red one is actually more of a darker wine red.

So true. Roses are a gift to our hearts. I fell in love with them in 1984, when I lived in a caravan, next to an old farm homestead, that was surrounded by roses
