I don't have pity for him, and I don't have a lot of sympathy for the maggots he's surrounded himself with, but their behavior is deeply objectionable, and there are people out there seeing how he's being treated and thinking that it's okay, and that's what they should do when their Papa gets frail.
Maybe it's karma, or the rede coming for his manipulative, selfish ass, and everyone around him makes carrion feeders look like responsible, respectful team players, but there are tools for demential management. And they make surviving it better for everyone, and reduce resentment, and thus abuse.
