If you support Prop 50 and you don’t support SB79, you’re undercutting your own goals.
To put this in language that Gavin Newsom can understand: either he can snatch away two Congressional seats from Texas and Florida Republicans to dangle in front of various factions of the CA Dems with a stroke of a pen, or he can choose not to do that and lose two of his closest allies in Congress.
