Pizza & salad. A covid Wednesday tradition.
It comes around so fast.
Thank you!
Green HoCB number Arms!!!
Purple pleated one - love it. Has a cut out at the side. No one needs to see that.
Vivienne W dress β€οΈ but a bit much?
NB i'll be getting changed in the loo at work & then driving to the do.
Argh.
I've got three fancy work dinners to go to in the next few weeks so need to decide what to wear. I'm not buying anything new but am feeling meh about everything.
Options are:
Dark blue velvet strapless column dress-underwear dilemma & old lady arms.
Turquoise vintage Patricia field-somewhat short
Keplerβs Balls - two fixed iron magnets placed either side of a marine compass to compensate for the attraction of a steel hull. Beautiful brass case over the compass too. Shiny.
A shipβs wheel and a speaking horn. Presumably so the captain could tell the steering guy directions.
A radio and navigation desk on one of the boats at Chatham Docks
Bridge of a boat at Chatham No idea which. Thereβs what looks to be a TV to one side but is possibly a radar display. Who knows though, might be that they watch βViyage to the bottom of the seaβ on it.
Advance warning : tomorrowβs #SundayPix theme is #SundayPixNavigation so dig out your maps and compasses and signposts and Keplerβs Balls (apologies) and side-scanning radar, telescopes and astrolabes and lets go! Second star to the right and straight on past Sainsburyβs.
Political people love to debate who the worst modern PM in modern times was but it's unquestionably Cameron.
10 years ago this week he gambled the prosperity and fragile unity of the UK on a referendum on an issue that most people didn't even understand to placate back benchers and fucked us all.
Accepting invitations from guhs like these has led to some of the most interesting evenings i've ever had...
I have told my kids that JRR Tolkein is called Jolkein Rolkein Rolkein Tolkein

Loving all of the lovely #SundayPixTrees today
Migration Observatory, Oxford calculated that Reform's policy would remove the permanent status of 430,000 non-EU nationals, who arrived between 2005 and 2020.
Another 200,000 arrived in the decades before 2000
I do not think Reform have set any cut-off point for stripping people of ILR?
I've got so many photos of that tree! π
Man with a camper van. Just saying.
Bare tree with branches reaching to the left, over the dam, on a grey, muddy day. Somewhere in the tree there is a squirrel.
Sunshine through a row of bare trees along the edge of the dam. The sky is blue with small clouds & ducks, geese, and a swan are enjoying the light reflecting off the water.
A row of three hazel trees which were coppiced ling ago but now are left to grow wild. The trees are bare and the ground covered in leaves. There is a fourth tree which stands separate to the others. It's not visible here.
Favourite tree - a solitary oak on the horizon above green fields ans below a blue sky. This tree had scars from last year's storms and has lost some lower branches but still stands strong. A smaller tree is visible in the distance.
#SundayPixTrees some favourites
Why not both!
Anyone unfortunate enough to encounter them in the wild is surely obliged to ask about the noncey in-law.
Has anyone made a 'We don't talk about Andrew'version of the Bruno song yet?
Also a psychopath.
Lovely!
A weeping willow in winter, covered in snow. Looking up into its long, dangling, yellowish branches against a grey sky.
For the early #SundayPix ers, tomorrow's theme is Trees. All and every in all their glory. #SundayPixTrees Note the plural - but pics of singular or parts of a tree or any interpretation is of course welcome.
Refund them & remove the qualification from them
If it wasnt good enough for them to want to pay for it, then they surely won't want to use it.
Honestly, i've just paid Β£15k for a fully online masters. How much cheaper do they expect it to be?
You first.

We were only ever shown the 39 steps, annually at christmas, sitting cross legged in rows on the wooden floor of the hall.
A pair of feet in very muddy black trainers.
Not actively raining but still a bit muddy.
That functionality can usually be automated in your applicant tracking system. It's sheer laziness & thoughtlessness.
