It’s loosely based on a fantastic short story by Roger Zelazny (translation: the studio bought the rights and utterly destroyed it). I actually just re-read it for the zillionth time…highly recommend!
One of our fur babies appears to be playing fetch...and it's not the dog!
Had to look it up (the name rings a bell, but I would have been 6 at the time). Created by Buck Henry, so I'm guessing there was a bit of Get Smart flavour to it.
You should also look up "Mr. Terrific" which came out the same year...that one I remember!
