All week I was looking forward to going to the bookstore to get the new Vigdis Hjorth. This morning I got it and the bookseller and I talked excitedly about Hjorth. She rang me up, I paid, and then she said, "it looks like we also have a book on hold for you to pick up." It was the same book.

I love walking around campus and talking to student groups who are fundraising for their various causes. Today a student was selling bird drawings for a dollar. A child requested that she draw Elsa. A minute later I heard a scream, "a chicken with a BRAID?!"

This afternoon I was behind a car that had two stickers that said, "Please be patient: student driver" but the "student driver" part had been obviously removed.
