No, but I think they need education and regulation rather than an outright ban. Think of all the harmful disinformation, if we don’t teach our children how disinformation works on social media, how it is often packaged in a fun and unserious manner, how will they learn to critically engage?

I agree! I think the other problem will be that they will not have a safe space to learn how to appropriately navigate social media, then as soon as they have access will go nuts

How will this protect them though? They won't learn how to safely navigate the online dimension. All of a sudden they will come of age and be flung into the insanity that is online with little to no media literacy. Propaganda fodder
