Too bad we can't do an anti-DART mission to deflect the asteroid into the Moon...
Only 53. Fucking hell.
"I feel liberated," said a top banker. "We can say 'retard' and 'pussy' withtout the fear of getting cancelled... its a new dawn"
We should never ever forget why they did it

Purely coincidentally, many US drillers have been sitting idle while prices have been low, but these prices would be enough to put them back online.
Probably purely a coincidence.

Oh wait you were serious?
The Millennial Generation's defining politician: JD Vance, shit poster as shithead politician.
π
Having gotten a vague intuition of what Millennials being in charge would actually look like in practice--I want our generation as locked out of power as Gen X has been.
Boomers and Zoomers forever!
I maintain that "relatability" is one of the worst things to happen to creative writing and it must be combated
People calling this proof of "everyone is 12 theory" are incorrect.
Look at the things in this--do you see anything you, dear 35-40 year-old Bluesky-er, don't recognize?
This is proof that Millennials and their nostalgia suck.
Millennial cringe propaganda.
(This is all very, very irrelevant until we get to a post-regime future.)
Want to point out that a submarine revealing its location to blow up a not particularly significant boat in order to record a snuff film for Secretary of Defense Hegseth is incredibly stupid and barbaric.
I feel like the "was it a war crime" Discourse is distracting from knuckle-dragging-ness.
Anthropic CEO looks at coming oil shock and public backlash to being a key element in an illegal war, begins to show symptoms of anxiety.
The math rocks do not have anxiety and gambling websites are not sources for breaking news.
So, what you've done here is spent 100 years tricking rocks into doing math and then you've gone and given those math rocks anxiety.
Is that anything more than just shit posting? It probably is too soon to tell though.
The "very Chinese time of my life" and Chinamaxxing fads don't seem to be translating into an actual interest in China among young Americans. Or is it too soon to tell?
I've taken to teaching thematic classes, like "Sports and Politics in the Middle East," to draw in students because old standards like "History of Modern Iran" just weren't pulling sustainable numbers for me.
I think some is economic: students are very focused on credentialization.
But I also see a general decline in interest in exploration, generally, and a wariness about moving out of their comfort zone.
So, we replace the woman who shot her own dog, with the guy who thinks the US killed Khomeini last weekend. Excellent.
The institutions you think are working on this problem aren't; they're fundraising off your anger. No one is really, actually trying to get him fired right now. Not in a serious way. The people who were said their piece and gave up. Weak stuff.
Someday he'll fire RFK Jr. too, because he's a savvy politician, and RFK Jr. is viscerally disgusting to the human sensibility. When he does - and he will - public health will have to grapple with the fact that it was doable, and we could have tried harder, sooner
i feel like this will just be the default wave of the future primarily because by 2028, the international order is going to be in the shitter and the left is the only one that reconstruct
