Congratulations to all of our student’s who have had their art work displayed in the ‘Annual Schools Exhibition’ at The Burton Art Gallery. 🎨🎨🎨

We are delighted to part of the TR7 & Imerys Mentorship Programme. Pupils are accessing 1:1 skateboarding lessons and free skate sessions.

Feedback has been outstanding, pupils excited to return the following week with excellent development in skills and confidence 😀

The workshop is officially back open after a major refurbishment! 🛠️👏 Pupils are loving the new machinery, and we’re excited to see the fantastic projects coming out of Construction and Design Technology.

Rowan students have all made their own individual Christmas cakes in their food tech lesson. Don’t these look incredible!

Wave CEO Rob came to visit us yesterday for Christmas Jumper Day and our Christmas dinner, and as you can see, he really got into the festive spirit!

Wow!

A group of our pupils had their passing out parade from their 3 day course with the Phoenix Project. What an incredible achievement, they have been an absolute credit to Restormel.

We are so proud of all of you and thank you to the brilliant staff at the Phoenix Project.

A fantastic week for our KS3 and 4 students at Skern Lodge, developing team skills, facing their fears, challenging themselves and showing great resilience.

It is feeling very festive at Glynn House this week.

The pupils have been making Christingle oranges and Pomanders as well as decorating Christmas biscuits.

Many thanks to our premises team for all of their efforts in preparing the schoolhouse. New roof, walls, fixtures & fittings! 🙏

We were delighted to welcome Paralympian, David Hill, to Restormel last week to support the official opening of our new outside space.

David then ran an activity with pupils, ‘Capture the Flag’ on our new MUGA. There was tactic, healthy competition and skill on fine display for all.

🎓 Torlands Academy at Plymouth University

Our students recently visited Plymouth Uni for an inspiring look at future pathways & careers. Experiences like this support our medical provision by building confidence, motivation & aspirations.

As part of their Duke of Edinburgh award, Year 10 did some volunteering by cleaning up our local waterways. Using a hauling system, teamwork and a lot of effort we pulled out a huge amount of rubbish. These were collected by the council and taken straight to the recycling centre.

🎵 Cedar and Willow classes were treated to a wonderful afternoon of music with our fabulous Visiting Music Teacher, Kip, who led sessions on ‘storytelling and composition’ in each class. Here are Cedar class, composing and playing music based around their ‘Castles’ topic! 🎵

We enjoyed taking part in activities to raise awareness of Children in Need on Friday.
Pupils took part in the ‘Challenge yourself to 25’ activities such as stacking 25 objects, some played Bear Pong, & some ran a cake stall to raise money. Well done all. Here are a few photos from our academies🧸
