After getting some more photos of the ringed Lesser Redpoll in our Colchester garden, we have managed to read the number and have found out where it was ringed. It was ringed as a first year bird on the 26/10/25 at non other than just down the road at Abberton Reservoir #essexbirding

A large Great Blue heron with blue gray body feathers, a long gray neck, a white and gray face, and a dark blue cap. The bird was standing in water at the edge of a pond with some yellow rudbeckia flowers, brown spent flowers, and green leaves along the bank. The dark water was filled with round green lily pads. Seen at Broadmoor WS in Natick, Massachusetts on September 25, 2024.
