A note on behalf of Turkey’s Pikachus: Trump greenlit Imamoglu’s arrest (from Senator Chris Murphy’s interview) so that Erdoğan can peacefully pacify his main rival. We need a global resistance to get rid off all the reckless leaders who don’t respect democracy.

University students occupied the streets in Turkey after Erdoğan detained the highly popular presidential candidate İmamoğlu, the current mayor of Istanbul. I am so proud of all these young people 🇹🇷
Following multiple resignations at his alma mater, the institution has now officially decided to revoke Imamoglu's college degree from 35 years ago (no joke), claiming he didn’t meet the transfer criteria at the time, disqualifying him from running in presidential elections.
The official end of Turkey's 'competitive' authoritarian regime—it's now purely authoritarian. Erdogan was certain he would lose to the current Istanbul mayor Imamoglu in the next presidential election.
