This is not even controlled opposition, itβs just full on collaboration.
Theyβre building a fascist technology, so obviously they are there.

I'd say the finale was pretty satisfying, just like the rest of season 5, but also played it very safe. I feel like GoT season 8 has made it so we won't see particularly interesting conclusions of any big budget series for a long time.
Still tired from my trip but dragged myself to the cinema to watch the Stranger Things finale.

The no notifications part probably means that Bluesky is doing something right
They were handing out Quotations from Chairman Mao Zedong to everyone arriving at JFK last week

JFK is such a clown show that T4 has busses between certain parts of the terminal. I would simply build my airport terminal correctly.

Having experienced both, I think I actually prefer the non-existing system. The dysfunctional one might also take you 16h to get somewhere, but you never know upfront. I found the uncertainty quite taxing.
IIRC, language mode is almost as old as versioned manifests, it just wasnβt relevant for a while since 5 was basically the only one people used.
Right, versioned manifests were originally only supposed to be about the manifest API version. Unfortunately, they also became a way to state what compiler you support because of backwards incompatible language features and I think that made it very confusing for users.

PayPal, eBay and Walmart come to mind.
On PayPal I even ended up with one at some point because their prompt was something like βRemember your login on this phoneβ that seemed completely unrelated to passkeys.
(This on iOS 18 or maybe 17 and Safari)
Not sure that it stems from the adoption, but from the excessive pushing of it a lot of websites are utilizing. Asking on every login or sometimes even multiple times during a session makes it seem sleazy.
The concept of the Avatars themselves is also basically this.
