Oh yeah, I’m a big fan of doing what you gotta do to be a functional human. And you don’t get those years back! If I’d had the option of ADHD meds growing up, I think there’s a chance I might not have been labeled flighty or flaky. I had to spend the 30 years fighting that voice in my head.
I ain’t a doctor (oooobviously) but the kid says the 1 mg is the way to go. (Keep in mind this advice comes from a bright 10th grader, but still a 10th grader). 2 mg did not seem to reduce their tics to the point that the drowsiness was worth it. But they’ve maintained the 1 mg for several years.
Are you on 2 mgs? (Only asking because the difference between 1 and 2 mgs for my teen, in terms of drowsiness, was staggering.)
