Things like this happen too frequently with road races. Often times, we never hear about it because locals, or even local elites, at races of lesser consequence don’t move the needle.
No ideal recourse for an industry problem showing overall lack of professionalism on the part of race organizers.
Uh, the LOC is literally responsible for hosting the event. USATF doesn’t always get things right, but the late changes to the course, poor marking and errant lead bike are all homegrown problems.
