Way too many Americans missed the message that this is how you handle racist folks in government. Or anywhere, for that matter.

I had to almost fight the optician to get regular old bifocals. She kept extolling the beauty of no peripheral vision and having to rotate my head when driving, but I managed to get my ugly bifocals. I’ve had a really good experience with them.

This Christmas has felt like it’s a pivot point in time. There are so many changes coming that Christmas will likely look different next year for our family. I’m simultaneously trying to be as present as possible and withdrawing internally. I hate it.
