Yes good shout, poss bad weather on the horizon this weekend.
Pretty brutal to drive it like this today considering what the riders had to battle through yesterday.

Quite interesting that Visma are working to bring the gap down to the break, obvs trying for the stage with Jonas. I thought breakaway win was pretty nailed on with the GC situation, but I suppose why not?! If the stage is there for the taking, then take it.

The journalist and publication showing that you can give agency to the driver rather than the vehicle. This has to be recognised as itβs incredibly rare.
Calling a breakaway win tomorrow in Paris-Nice. Vast majority of the peloton are so far down on GC, with plenty of lumps for a strong break to form and Visma with no pressure to chase (esp. after a brutal stage today).
Maybe Leknessund, Tejada, Vlasov, Romeo could be good candidates for the win.
Thatβs as good as can be hoped, wishing Juan a speedy recovery.
A race where every second counts, not this year!
Missed the split early on in the crosswinds. Was doing a lot of work driving the group and then went clear with Lenny Martinez and Soler just after the big crash. Caught up to and then passed the Onley group. Spent a lot of that stage chasing and still strong enough to go clear on the final climb.
The top 10 general classification at Paris-Nice after stage 4. A stage with horrific weather and lots of key riders abandoning through crashes.
Crazy top 10 GC at Paris Nice.
Watching all the horrors that have occurred during this Paris-Nice stage and itβs Jonas Vingegaardβs bib tights with flappy sides that have me most perplexed.
Horrific crash in the lead group and Ayuso looking like heβs seriously injured. Will be leaving the race and can only hope his injuries are not as serious as they look.

McKenna has form. The kind of bitter loser that tells drivers to take their rage out on cyclists.
Hello Ineos, one hell of a TTT, big Kev spinning like a mad man up the drag to the line, but looks like Ayuso taking the yellow jersey.
Really like how this is gonna be poised going into the lumpy stages.

Crazy itβs so strong despite Skjelmose couldnβt make the start.
And there it is, the Juan and only.
Absolute luxury having SΓΆderqvist and Vacek pulling you into the finale, Trek surely taking the lead shortly?

Epic stage at Tirreno Adriatico. Feel really sorry for Thymen Arensman who was the plan for Ineos to try and stay up in GC but hit the deck on the gravel. No surprise with the winner, but really close trio sprint.
Yeah totally but did provide an opportunity to offer perspective, as gone are the days where the MSM do so.
This is what I should have done, but natural instinct took over.
Got a Reform leaflet through the post earlier.
Picked it up, laughed and chucked it without hesitation in itβs rightful place, the f**king bin.
London Assembly statistics on pedestrians injured at floating bus stops vs pedestrians injured by motorists across the same time frame (2020-2022).
5 over a 3yr period vs 11,400 pedestrians injured over the same time frame by motorists.
But it wouldnβt be a scumbag Tory if they didnβt try to focus on something that rarely happens over something that happens every single day without fail.

This is one of the 2 prime times of year for hiring (the other being September just after schools return), so there should be a degree of optimism. Iβd argue that many businesses have put off hiring decisions due to recent uncertainty, so this is all slow release of the taps.
But it is something theyβll be judged sternly on, all of their own making with it being the key pledge.
I think both startlists shaped by the parcours. Most sprinters have gobe to TA where thereβs 3 potential sprint opportunities. Lack of any high mountains in either, so a stronger startlist for climbers in Catalunya than both races.
TNT Sports are unequivocally the destructive force. Unjustified pricing out of a significant part of the sportβs fanbase. Showing zero regard to what fans want, overpromising and under delivering to the extreme & jeopardising the way the sport is accessed in the long term, all for short term gain.
My Velogames team selection for Tirreno Adriatico.
Round 2 of the Velogames Stage Race Championship begins tomorrow with Tirreno Adriatico.
Very interesting parcours, opens the GC up to a much wider pool of riders.
Good finale, without the Visma pull could have been down to the last 1km.
Really feel for the people who write previews for pro cycling races with teams leaving it so late before announcing their squad. Mid afternoon with Tirreno Adriatico starting tomorrow and still 10 teams still to complete their roster for the race.
Thanks and likewise.
Always acknowledge other riders irrespective of what/how they ride. I will say itβs hit or miss from roadies whether you get a nod or a wave back. Each to their own I guess.
Velogames Paris-Nice team selection.
The Velogames Stage Race Championship begins today with Paris-Nice.
Lots of good interesting value picks at 6cr, which helps get Ayuso and Vingegaard on the team. Certainly a few stages with breakaway potential in the route, Costiou, Leknessund good candidates to get up the road.
Probably the ultimate reference of the changed role of the media. No longer there to inform, but to spark debate, however inane and ignorant one side of that discussion might be.
