Wag the dog.
Wag the dog.
@markey.senate.gov Your eight colleagues should resign immediately. It’s not a compromise, it’s a betrayal.
Great job, @schumer.senate.gov. You've changed the story from "GOP hurting millions of Americans to please unpopular, failing, delusional despot who's destroying his party" to "Dems are too weak and divided in the face of Trump's strength to take a stand and protect Americans"
Never forget who sold us out:
Hassan
King
Cortez-Masto
Shaheen
Kaine
Fetterman
Durbin
Rosen
Caving now will teach Trump and Republicans that they can win any fight simply by threatening to cause terrible harm to regular people. no possible way that could have future adverse consequences
Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?
Washington's speculation about Trump's health is at a fever pitch. We've seen multiple reasons this summer to ask questions — and the media doesn't seem to care. What's really going on? www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/it-s-time-...
My name is Graham Platner and I’m running for US Senate to defeat Susan Collins and topple the oligarchy that’s destroying our country.
I’m a veteran, oysterman, and working class Mainer who’s seen this state become unlivable for working people. And that makes me deeply angry.
This is the best character yet to be part of the MagaWorld series.
LEFT: Where our government incarcerates a person who has a tattoo in honor of a family member.
RIGHT: Where our government incarcerates a person who has facilitated and/or engaged in the sexual assault of over a thousand children.
Powerful session.
Collective bargaining is the most important economic right that a worker has in the United States. During my address at #AFTCB2025, I spoke about that and what it takes to build power that empowers members. www.aft.org/news/collect...
For decades, the @aft.org has advocated for evidence-based reading instruction & backing it with professional development. And that's what we offered at #TEACH225 thanks to @oftunion.bsky.social member Maria Bailey, who facilitated this workshop. www.aft.org/news/breakin...
In a follow up conversation to my #TEACH25 speech, we talked about what union members can do to engage colleagues and mobilize their communities in the fight against authoritarianism and for democracy. www.aft.org/news/weingar...
"AFT Voices celebrates the people who make public education thrive. And we’re lucky to hear from some of them in person here at #TEACH25" — AFT Executive Vice President Evelyn DeJesus
"In a year of unprecedented attacks on working people and the unions that represent them, @hirono.senate.gov has stood out as a fierce, principled champion for our values." — AFT Executive Vice President Evelyn DeJesus introducing our next speaker #TEACH25
What great news to kick off our #TEACH25 general session: Because of our advocacy, the Trump administration backed down from withholding funds from public schools!
Thank you @hirono.senate.gov for fighting with us for what kids need. www.washingtonpost.com/education/20...
Nah, there’s no way the “grab ‘em by the pussy” dude would ever send a birthday note to a sex trafficker……or rape teenagers.
Tomi Lahren just posted on the other place that the federal government should “let California go” and that California should get “not one dime.” Where does she think the federal government gets most of its dimes?
Time to break out the chart again on Iran.
Interesting who the bosses at a “social justice” program decided to target during a recent union campaign. More interesting who they decided to punish for union support. Hypocrisy runs deep for bosses more concerned with maintaining power & special privileges while avoiding accountability.
Trump reversed himself, again. Raids on farms and hotels back on.
He double TACOed www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/...
It seems inappropriate for school-based bosses and managers to work from home on school days, but it’s happening in some RI schools.
@govdanmckee.bsky.social has gotten attention for so many failures that the disastrous takeover of @ppsd.bsky.social gets lost in the shuffle. The district is losing yet another high quality principal due to the toxic central office. This thing needs to end & we must make sure it never happens again
Spending time with charter school workers has been an eye opener. The level of administrative abuse is truly staggering. Many supposed “leaders” seek out charters because they want to operate outside of accountability for their behavior. They fear having unions because they fear empowered educators.
It is almost always a distraction, even when it is violent. Especially when it’s violent.
As Paul Cuffee Middle School educators vote to unionize, the school becomes the first fully unionized charter in the state

Great news for students and educators in Providence, RI! We’re excited to welcome faculty & staff at Paul Cuffee Charter Middle School to the @AFT.org family.
