It is 2003 and the Republican Party is pursuing tax cuts for the rich and war in the Middle East.

The Trump Administration’s action to suspend all federal grants & loans will have a devastating impact on the health and well-being of millions of children, seniors on fixed incomes, and the most vulnerable people in our country.
It is a dangerous move towards authoritarianism.
Expanding Medicare.
Expanding Social Security.
Fair taxation.
Fair trade policies.
These are just some of the reasons I am looking forward to joining the Senate Finance Committee.
The precedent set today should upset every American who believes in our democratic form of government.
It appears that from now on no major legislation can be passed without the approval of the wealthiest person in this country.
