Can someone Please explain to me why the Minn. PD (and the MN state police) are not protecting the residents whose taxes pay their salaries? If masked, armed thugs show up in my city and start assaulting people without probable cause or a warrant, I sure as hell expect the local cops to protect us.

Agree this is a big issue, but strict rules around campaign finance and other anti-corruption measures should (at least in theory) be able to significantly mitigate this. Education and socialization also play a big role. Norms and social contracts matter.
We need better labels. What I think most of us want is
Social Capitalism: An economic system where markets are the primary engine of production and innovation, but government ensures social equity through progressive taxation, regulation, strong public services, and democratic accountability.
If the Dems aren’t blanketing social and other media with 3 or 4 clear, simple, consistent points on this within 15 minutes, then shame on us. To wit, these careless idiots put our service members at risk; no other country will share secret information with these morons…would you?

Here’s an idea. The 2028 election starts TODAY!! Run a process to select the Dem best equipped for this unique moment, and get going! Show the contrast & provide a focal point for us to rally around! Sure, we need to focus on the mid-terms, but it’s all connected! We need a LEADER to LEAD US! NOW!

This is nice, but doesn’t go to the root of the problem. Kinda like replacing lunch money taken by the schoolyard bully. It won’t stop the bully from stealing again, and may even take pressure off him by masking the effects of his reprehensible behavior. Medical debt should not exist. M4A
Big savings will inevitably cause massive pain somewhere. Why go after the poor and vulnerable when you can target a wildly unpopular industry providing a largely unnecessary service in a manner that nobody likes? You could also enlist support from employers, who feel trapped in the current system.
Republicans are missing a huge opportunity. Yes, there are massive savings to be realized in healthcare, but they are aiming at the wrong target. Instead of gutting Medicaid and risking backlash, they should take it from the health insurers. M4A would expand and improve care, AND save trillions.
