Oh yes, this happens too. We recently found a load of music instruments for small kids that were "saved for my daughter" bear in mind it was about 25 years... Found them when she was 14, so a little bit late!

Awe, those are the ones I definitely do appreciate. 20 years later the memory is wonderful.
And all my toys when I was a kid, straight to my daughter, then again to my nephew. Was wonderful. But there is no space in the house, never has been!

Oh yeah, definitely. I'm trying to keep most of my work flowing into the same places, but it gets so easy to lose track of still! Definitely worth getting them all organized and accessible!

It is funny, at the time I didn't, but now I think she might have stopped going from collecting to hoarding (like she does) so I'm quite glad nowadays.

Big ones which were just fun shapes and heavy were in the garden, or used as doorstops.
The smaller ones she used as ornaments. And far better than I did.
I got her a couple as gifts after that, but she didn't seem too keen!

It's our gift. Insanity. And we share it wisely.

It always made me feel so guilty, that feeling. So many times I'd wonder why. But I guess, you just need the right moments to happen together the stars to align...

I did collect weird rocks when I was younger, but my mum used to steal them. I soon stopped.

Well. In my story 😜 she breathed life into the forest, making the tree develop a personality and growth into a new entity altogether! I feel like she's that kinda beauty. Just look at the hair!!!

It's both liberating and constraining. Really helps refine the craft and is just so satisfying. It's almost as if we can put another layer of your vision into the work...

I bet, doing the narrative only stuff makes it harder to compete (some are just too wild) but when I can it's so much fun adapting it to fit the narrative and slip into the story.
But ultimately it's about the perception and interpretation from all the different wonderful minds, you're damn right.
