ICE has arrested and detained a Nashville journalist who reported stories critical of ICE. She’s married to a U.S. citizen and has been seeking asylum here after fleeing death threats in Colombia because of her journalism there.
They’ve already sent her to Louisiana.

Quite the ruling from a NY federal judge today, who initiated contempt proceedings against ICE after finding that it flouted court orders, gave false evidence to the court and held an immigrant in “chillingly brutal” conditions.

Jury finds New York Times NOT LIABLE for Sarah Palin's defamation claims.
The jury deliberated for just under two hours before returning the verdict.
Palin was far less cheerful leaving court on Tuesday following the verdict than earlier in the trial, and did not comment directly on the outcome. She said she looked forward to returning to her kids and grandchildren back home in Alaska, and planned to "get on with life."
NEW: A Manhattan federal judge just issued an order blocking the Trump administration from deporting a 21-year-old Columbia student and legal permanent resident, who says she was targeted for attending a protest over the war in Gaza.
NEW: A DC federal judge has temporarily blocked Trump’s executive order targeting law firm Perkins Coie over its representation of Hillary Clinton. Trump’s order directed federal agencies to nix contracts with the firm's clients and suspend security clearances for its employees, among other things.
The funny thing is, this is the most that Americans have thought about Canada since the War of 1812.
