@contrapoints.bsky.social There were so many points in the Twilight video where I thought you were about to bring up the Tristan chord (sometimes I can even here it in the background), and you never do; and I canβt stop wondering if that in itself was an homage to the Tristan chord π
Yeah, totally fair. Just building a save file for oneself is already pretty overwhelming. π I look forward to seeing more of your builds!
These builds are great! Are you planning to make a whole save?
We cannot rely on powerful individuals to make the world we want like itβs some kind of kaiju/gundam battle for a better world.
Iβm pretty sure a lot of people who gain power donβt really know what itβs going to reveal about themselves or which of their worst qualities is going to take hold. And you *cannot* just rely on your sense that a public figure is a βgood guyβ even if they do lots of good things.
Seeing several people use the βpower doesnβt corrupt, it revealsβ argument to persuade someone they admire that they should embrace their power as a public figure.
You all realize you donβt really know this person, right? You donβt know what power is going to reveal about them.
Just a heads up for peeps, if you bought a Neil Gaiman audiobook from Audible, they are allowing refunds for them with no questions asked and no matter how long ago you bought them. I donβt even have an active subscription and they gave me credits back for two titles purchased in 2020.
I know someone who did this. His prize was having one of the servers come over and quietly tell him heβd consumed an entire sword of meat.
Just a reminder that there was a time when Twitter was a chill space where you could build communities and make friendly connections. It takes active work to preserve this kind of space and cultivate the kind of discourse and behavior you want to see.
I was actually surprised by how unbothered I was by the length of the film while I was watching it. The pacing felt pretty good to me, except for βDefying Gravityβ which they drew out way too much. (And why not end it as soon as the chorus finishes their last notes like in the show?)
The lilsimsie save is basically a cleaned up Maxis save. Iβve tended to use it when Iβm starting fresh, though I have another save where Iβm slowly replacing her builds with my own + favorite gallery builds
Karwan really jumping to a lot of conclusions today π«
Very curious if this is part of the narrative plan or if risky woohoo made the decision π
This livestream was pretty well done, imo. Much less awkward than theyβve been in the past. I felt like they gave a better sense of funerals, bucket list, wills, heirlooms, etc. Probably more focus on ghosts than youβd care for, but itβs pretty well contained. Also some nice BB and CAS.
Lol - I just watched this on Criterion the other day π
But where do you get the Bone Apples?
Thoughts like βBut this house has a spot that would be uniquely perfect for drying persimmons!β (a thing I have never done but am interested in trying) shouldnβt have very much weight in my considerations re whether or not to make an offer on a house, and yet they doβ¦
Maybe theyβre a time traveler from medieval Europe? π
To be fair, I do find one of the drawbacks of handwritten notes is that I canβt ctrl+f to find stuff π
(To be clear - I donβt think other peopleβs crafts are trash. This is just the crisis I face every time I want to start a new project with no idea what Iβm going to do with the finished product. π₯²)
Anyway - hereβs the comedy sketch thatβs currently living rent-free in my head: https://youtu.be/05sU0_Nfc_s
Happy to be here on Bluesky, but I wish there were fewer posts about that idiot man-child and the dumpster fire he createdβ¦
