I think I’m both more likely to give out 5-stars but also more likely to be harsh to things like “interesting ideas but it didn’t really come together”.
Is it more that you have a really high bar for five-stars, or more that you can love and call a favorite authors whose work has some qualities you value but also have significant (enough to ding by at least a star) flaws?
