I love that for you! Glad you got it all booked! I had one of kiddo’s friends’ parent ask me what weeks I am going to try for the theatre camp that fills within five minutes. I will try to coordinate those, too, but will take what I can get! Luckily there are usually some friends at each camp.

I have not done the estate stuff. But it will still be there tomorrow so that’s ok.

Here’s hoping that means I get a good 6 or so weeks covered!

I know it’s early, but I would love to have summer all sorted already! We do a mix of two camps. One should be able to register soon, but the other not until May. I always book all weeks of the first and then cancel a few (losing the deposit) if I can get a couple weeks in the second.

I have today off. I need to update all of my spreadsheets for mom’s estate stuff. Time to prep some chili for this week’s lunches, and maybe a bit of shopping.

Half a chocolate cake with vanilla icing in the middle and chocolate on top
During Covid, we started celebrating the kid’s half birthday just to add something fun to February. Now it’s tradition. It also would have been my sister’s 51st birthday today, so we think of her as well.

I’d love to see the decision makers walk the last 2.4km to their offices in rain and snow, daily.

The roads were surprisingly clear my whole drive in today. The sidewalks were mostly clear, except where you have to cross intersections. Fine for those of us able bodied, but not for those with mobility challenges.

So true. I have biked part of the way to work (drive to bayers lake and then park and ride to downtown), but hesitant to do again. Each year I say I will, but the short bits that are not protected can be scary for a part time cyclist who isn’t confident with traffic being in arm’s reach.

We’re in the suburbs and this isn’t really walkable with a kid due to the lack of sidewalks and a main road, despite being only 1.5km away. She is happy that they are knowledgeable about gluten free options. :)

Mine said the restaurant up the street. lol. But the libraries, rec centres and beaches would be high on her list.

Had anyone used the kobo Clara colour for graphic novels? I have a black and white kobo that I use almost exclusively for library books, and the kiddo is interested in a kobo. She also reads a LOT, mostly graphic novels. I’ve read reviews, but curious of any pros or cons with Libby.

Ya, I did a very quick shovel earlier knowing that it very well may just get blown back in later.

Round one of shovelling done. Considering I picked my kid up at 12 and it had barely started, that was a lot down already.

I went for a walk in my subdivision. There are a lot of trucks with men in red shirts coming and going. Love the Sunday morning energy!

I'm trying to add little pops of joy into my days. I saw that the local bakery had 2 for 1 croissants today, so I went on my morning break and just had one for an early lunch, and it was so good. Packing one with soup for tomorrow's office day lunch.

It’s my first day back to work since Mom passed. I’m not ok today. Some days are good and some are bad and last nights sleep was terrible, filled with panic. But, today may turn around yet. My coffee is good. I woke up. I get to wfh. I can spend the day sorting through emails from Dec until now.

In theory, she would. But I can almost guarantee they’d never be worn. She’s very particular about how socks feel.

Multi coloured knit socks on my feet.
My new socks from @dianachard.bsky.social came! Thanks so much! They fit perfectly. J said she thought I bought them, and that I should have said my feet were her size so they’d fit her instead.
