A fuel duty cut of 25p would cost £12bn and instantly be lost as Oil Companies and Supermarkets raised their prices

It would mean, even before raising their prices, that the Oil Companies would make twice as much profit as you pay in tax

It's a tax cut for Big Oil

Who do they represent? Themselves.

Nigel Farage and Suella Braverman missed NINE votes in Parliament last night, all because they had a more important Reform UK rally on the Isle of Wight.

They think they are too big to do their job.

The bullshit excuses came thick and fast… while any attempt at charm quickly drained away…

More of this please, media. He’s there to be had. There’s a mess of nasty inadequacy and failure lurking behind his oh-so-confident bluster.

Reform UK really are so lucky.

For a party of eight MPs they have the UK’s biggest news broadcaster on retainer.

Here we see their political editor doing the job of a local newspaper reporter.

For Farage.

EIGHT MPs.

Why aren’t renewables better protecting the UK from energy price shocks? How the UK's gas addiction keeps energy bills high despite the rising role of wind and solar

Can the Govt explain why they won't decouple the cost of electricity produced by renewable sources from high-cost, volatile gas markets as this would dramatically cut our energy bills? Thought not. Can't think why...

There should be a cast iron set of rules around foreign influence of UK politics. No donations, no influence/lobbying, just a complete ring-fencing of domestic politics away from overseas actors.

Breaches should be treated as a criminal matter, with serious prison time for those who break the law.

Child poverty in one parent families is a national disgrace - and a big cause of that is absent parents, usually fathers, who don't pay maintenance and a Child 'Maintenance' Service that lets them.

Way beyond military strategy & operations this checklist makes sense

Like any critical situation though the emotional urge maybe to think it’s a unique crisis & you should throw out the rules, my learning from Critical Care in health is that in crises you lean into what you’ve learnt not panic away

I remember when opposition MPs went over to EU, showing their solidarity with Europeans and it was considered back channelling. Farage (how many times has he visited Trump now?), Tice, and others appear to do this regularly on world stage. Why aren't the press calling it out for what it is?

If you get passed the massive & overt corruption, the big issue with UK politics is that there are rarely any meaningful consequences for promoting & taking catastrophically wrong & self serving national policy actions.

Such behaviour in politics should be seen for what it is: treason

There is nothing patriotic about outsourcing Britain’s foreign policy to Donald Trump.

Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage want Britain to blindly follow Trump into his reckless war - even though the President has no plan for what comes next.

So, Johnson, Farage, Badenoch, the Telegraph… howl about the UK being “an irrelevance on the world stage”.
Remind me again who decided to isolate us with a strategically and economically idiotic Brexit, relying on a trade deal with the US to save us from exactly the kind of weakness they now bemoan.

Did you see this headline?

Did you feel the requisite anger and rage at asylum seekers that The Sun was asking of you?

Did you maybe blame Starmer because.... um... it was probably his fault🤷‍♀️

Would you like to know the reality behind the headline?

Course you would!😜
