I truly cannot imagine being a mother and advocating for ICE raids and deportation of families and children. I had my first child 12 years ago and I’ve only gotten more empathic every year since.
I run a youth sports league in my town and have to take a sexual abuse training for my role.
Something is not sitting right with me that our Commander in Chief and potential Secretary of Defense aren't held to the same standards as a volunteer board member for a small town sports league.
I promise I'm going to use Substack for more educational content about writing and to get back to sharing stories of women entrepreneurs but for now... my first one is live!

Maybe I don't care about alienating people who think January 6th was a peaceful protest and not a violent insurrection that killed and injured police officers?
I told myself I was only going to post about business stuff on here from now on but how can I do that when all I can think about is how awful everything is and how mad I am for my children to grow up in this America?
Anyone with narcissistic parents could see what that TikTok “ban” was a mile away. That’s why I deleted my account when it came back online. I have to manage the behavior of a narcissist in my personal life. I don’t have the energy to deal with it on my phone too.
I just finished Behind the Scenes by Elizabeth Hobbs Keckley after seeing it on @baewatch86.bsky.social’s TikTok. It was an incredible read! So much history I did not know.
