Even for those who are "safe" in SoCal right now, my heart is with you. The mental and emotional toll, the air quality, the extreme worry, and the totalizing nature of this is awful.
(And please stop jumping into mentions about what Americans are doing abroad. I KNOW, hate it & it is whataboutism.)

My dog, Petey, decided randomly that he no longer likes his food and that he wants to eat people food instead. So now I have to gaslight him every morning by pretending to put spices on his food and take it out of the microwave so he’ll eat it.
You should always be kind and understanding to grocery staff. But especially more so today. Last minute pre-holiday rush is insane. If you think you’re stressed imagine how they’re feeling. Be patient. Be understanding. Most of all, don’t be a dick.

I’ve been bingeing Mythic Quest for the past few days and it’s such a wonderful comedy that occasionally punches you right in the face with feeling. Those flashback episodes are breathtakingly good.
