100%, and if I'm not hyperfocusing on whatever I'm playing, or the hook is behind 15 lines of exposition, it did not happen.
I have spent so much of my life being distracted on the way to objectives, or just wandering around aimlessly in small circles. And anything more than a week's break from a game? Never going back. It no longer exists.

Nature is absolutely mental. And horrifying. And incredibly cool.
Also, I will never relax in the hot tub again.
Bit more slapping. Some mewling. A little dignified splashing.
Then I look down and see what it actually was. And I realise just how goddamn awesome it all is. Pretty metal.
So I rescue them both from the spa. Wasp gets to dry out on a towel. Paralysed spider is...spared its fate.
All I know is that I've been roused from a beautifully bubby snooze by a large, buzzing, hairy thing with far too many legs, hitting me in the mouth and getting tangled in my beard.
So I hit myself in my own face. Quite hard. Spider and wasp fall onto my chest. Cue much squealing.
So this delightful duo: buzzy black parasitic wasp and chunky, furry little arachnid, barreled into my beard whilst I was fully relaxed. Eyes closed, bobbing around in a little inflatable tub o fun in the sunshine. This... panicked me somewhat.
In time, these eggs hatch into larvae which eat the spider from the inside out. Pretty bad deal for the spider. This one, however, came across an unexpected obstacle when returning home: my face. Probably not helped by the fact that it was carrying a meaty mouse spider. (UK not Aus mouse spider)
Now, these are grimly fascinating creatures. They seek out their prey: spiders which are often 3 or 4 times larger than they are. They sting these spiders, paralysing them, then drag or carry them back to a lair where they will lay their eggs in them.
It was one of these lads. Or lasses, more likely. A pompiliade, or spider hunting wasp.

Took a wasp to the face the other day, in the hot tub of all places. Upsetting enough, but this wasn't a regular wasp.
Was feeling pretty emotionally resilient today, then I saw a dog bump its head on a bench and felt sad about it for 20 minutes.
