Yeah the intro passage of this is great
@davisqueue
I mostly post about music or bother my friends. Play in long time duo Grand Banks and solo as Dais Queue. New band is Radon Abatement, which is a rock band. Grand Banks: https://grand-banks.bandcamp.com/ Dais Queue: https://daisqueue.bandcamp.com/

This show is in a week and a half roughly. We will have a new-ish song we have only played live once. We may have a wrinkle or two on some of our other songs. We will of course be excited to see Sensor Ghost and Clenchers. It will be a good night, head on out if you are in or near Charlottesville.
If we are in Richmond together at some point during the day we should go to Perly's.
Ah so it is like a play on a Reuben. Which can be fine, of course, but not the standard.
Looks like it was a cool show
You can pull it off. I believe in you.
How good is said reuben? Been a while but I sure love a good reuben
All these years I thought I really knew him. I have been living a lie.
Man, really selling Jordan out here.
Nice to see an unexpected Happy Flowers mention pop up!
Oh wow cool!
Hopefully we can make some kind of Radon Abatement gift package for you at some point. Waiting for music to exist first though.
I can keep one of these for you if you wish. I know @joshkrahn.bsky.social has some from the last show, which were amazing (screen printed by him directly, I have one hung on my wall). His are quite large, like real poster size. This last one will just be a fast and loose cheapy printer edition.
I'm proud of all of our Radon Abatement songs, but one in particular has an arrangement I love to death. Extremely fun to play but also just a cool passage of music I think. I took a lot of inspiration for my parts from this, which hopefully kinda shows. The best: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cwx_...
Reminder that this show is coming up soon-ish. It will be a really good one I think. First show from us (@radonabatement.bsky.social) in a good while & two excellent out of town bands, including the uniquely great Dischord band Sensor Ghost, who also happen to be very nice & cool people. Head on out
"How will you bring value to our organization ...."
The indignities one endures for this shit are endless.
I really enjoyed it, there is some great and very fun stuff in there. I tried to refrain from asking Matt Datesman questions about any and all Flin Flon related items, but I cannot say that I succeeded. The price he must pay for living in town.
Teenbeat art show on view in Charlottesville until the closing party on April 5th.
Aww man Ryan was a lovely person and great musician. Sadly he passed away but this is cool to see.
My guess is most of the people decrying this site as not being relevant / having enough people and growth don't spend much time seeing amazing musicians play to 10 or less people in a room. In fact they would likely make fun of the premise and say "what's the point?" What is the point indeed.
lol never be relevant to who? I canβt imagine being the kind of person who says shit like this.
You may be able to convince @averysafecat.bsky.social
Do I want to know what this is?
Our friend Ben made this risograph at our friendsβ print co-op, Infinite Repeats. The text contains lyrics from our song βET Writes a Hit,β written by Erin O. Some day soon you may be able to listen to it I imagine.
Image of a risograph print by our friend Ben. It has a pink background with an image of a drag queen taking money and the text βI do the work / you pay me / nothings freeβ in green ink. These are lyrics to a Radon Abatement song called ET Writes a Hit.
Never sure what this day will bring, and usually am ok with it being low key. Todayβs was spent happily enough working on final Radon Abatement mixes (or close enough) with my partner and two of my best friends. Many days are hard these days, but this one has been good. Hoping for more for us all.
