@philplait.bsky.social Your video about your French book is hilarious! Glad you know a few very useful sentences in French!! Merci! youtu.be/0C2QgVXrWtU?...
Watching online, I noticed some people were sitting at the same place two days in a row. You were not the only one in the middle of the front rows! :)

Watch as this visualization reveals the stars of the Orion constellation in three dimensions. The familiar pattern on the sky distorts into a whole new perspective.
The sequence begins with a view of Orion in our sky. Featured in this scene are some of the brightest stars, like Betelgeuse. π π§ͺ
Total lunar eclipse tonight!
It's at a bad time for most of us in Eastern Canada (!), but I'll set my alarm around 3am to watch totality and the return to partial eclipse.

Some positive through all the negative news being shared here. The beautiful kitten we got from the rescue shelter last week. A bundle of joy! π
This is insane...
Venus and the crescent Moon tonight! π€©
Have you read Star Maker, by Olaf Stapledon? I'd be curious to know your thoughts! I just finished it, after too many months. Not an easy read, but mind-blowing!

I love comets in the LASCO field of view!
I love having a flexible schedule and being able to do this between two online meetings!

I've barely posted anything here and I get new followers every day. Is there something weird happening to BlueSky? Are those real accounts or bots? Why have you decided to follow me?
Earth is the only home we have.
That's why over 2000 astronomers have come together to protect it. Join us for this celebration!
I just read that newsletter. I love the line "The Universe is my lane, pal". I admire your willingness to speak up on many subjects, sometimes I feel I should do the same... You inspire me.
If you get a clear sky, look east to see Jupiter - the brightest point of light in that part of the sky. And if you have access to a pretty dark sky, you should also be able to spot the Pleiades, a beautiful star cluster!

Ton parcours m'impressionne!
