The number of daily steps you take may delay Alzheimer's progression Walking 3,000 to 7,500 steps daily may slow cognitive decline in older adults with early Alzheimer's, reducing tau buildup and improving brain health.

“Cognitive decline was delayed by an average of three years for people who walked 3,000 to 5,000 steps per day, and by seven years in individuals who walked 5,000 to 7,500 steps per day, Yau said in an email.”

My favorite part of Super Bowl Sunday is the Puppy Bowl. And my favorite part of the Puppy Bowl is watching my dogs watch the Puppy Bowl.

And if the weather isn’t cooperating, consider going to an indoor setting with plants, like a greenhouse or nursery.

Finals week means a little extra ❤️ for breakfast.

This can be a tough time for teens with academic and holiday stress.

It can also amplify grief and loneliness.

Find small ways to show your support,

We all need a little kindness these days 🌱

Even after many performances over the last six years, I am constantly amazed and delighted by the talented musicians of the Nebraska Medical Orchestra & Choir. Today, the choir provided holiday music at the Engage wellness program at UNMC.

I am a big believer in the role that the health humanities can play in preventing burnout in our students, faculty and clinical providers. Plus, it is just plain fun to see a familiar face on the stage at one of these concerts.

This Wednesday, December 4, is the holiday concert for the Nebraska Medical Orchestra & Choir. Looking forward to it! We have talented amateur musicians from multiple healthcare entities around the Omaha area.
