The unusual yellow (or orange) version of Scarlet Elfcup - something I’ve long wanted to see! This was at RSPB Ham Wall earlier in the week. There were plenty of the red ones around but just these three yellow ones. #FungiFriday @rspb.bsky.social @rspbengland.bsky.social

We see signs everywhere saying “please keep dogs on leads” and all the dogs we see are off leads, even on nature reserves. Either dog owners can’t read or they really don’t understand or don’t care 🙄😡

An old, hollow Ash tree standing by a footpath that winds its way across the Cotswold landscape. The tree is marked on the 1883 OS map and the footpath has the feel of being a very old way - we’ve found worked flints in the fields nearby, so maybe even walked by prehistoric people,who knows!?
