Once you get through the current backlog, I enjoyed the Cradle series by Will Wight. The first book is a bit slower than the rest of the series, but once the pacing picks up it's a fun page-turner with a great cast, charm, and wit.
I'm not sure I see AI removing the usefulness of both breadth and depth of knowledge - specialists are still going to be required. Being able to work full stack is definitely a benefit, but I don't think doing so will be a requirement of every dev job.
Either that or he visits me and his deodorant can be misplaced :3
