If you were going to put a biblical quote on a shirt, what would it be.

Mark 10:25 is obvious. Mathew 10:35 reminds me of the letter from Birmingham jail.

Slightly misspelled sign written by a child in green marker that says “adopt me or else!” But else is spelled e l e s.

Some kids made adoption signs to hang up around the shelter. Most of them were cute and sweet but I greatly enjoy this straight up threat.

PANEL 1: MATTIE sitting on the floor in front of a bucket.
MATTIE: Man, I put all these crabs in this bucket to watch them fight to the top for my amusement…

PANEL 2: MATTIE peering in close to the bucket. One claw is raised, holding a little piece of paper folded over.
MATTIE: …But it looks like they all just started trading ZINES in there!
MATTIE: Kind of annoying.

PANEL 3: MATTIE grabs the zine.
MATTIE: Hm?

PANEL 4: Close up of the zine in MATTIE's hands. The title is STEVEN, THE CRAB DIRECTLY BELOW ME, IS A PIECE OF SHIT!
MATTIE: Haha okay this is pretty good

Well, shit, I wouldn't have made it into the University of Chicago under this policy, and considering that I became the editor of the school newspaper and then the student ombudsperson for the university, maybe that would have been their loss.

Kittens, as far as I can tell, contain explosive devices that launch them into the air seemingly randomly. Little paws flailing out in all directions. Launching multiple heights taller than them. Who hit the detonator on Trevor the kitten? Why is he attacking my shoe? We just don't know.

OK, there are very vaguely about as many adult women in the UK as there are people in Australia. So let's say that is a very roughly comparable numbers.

Anyone want to find me other treatments that ~700 people a year get in the UK and many people can name that treatment.

“The New York Times” Is Failing Its Readers Badly on Covid A pair of shoddy opinion pieces proves that the paper is letting its audience down and undermining the fight to improve our knowledge of the virus.

In fact, we may never know the origins of SARSCoV2, but the preponderance of the evidence suggests a natural origin. But the lab leak is now embraced by many in the mainstream media. Immerwahr gets on the bandwagon in this piece. 9/ www.thenation.com/article/soci...

When our descendants unearth our devices and work out how to power them up, they're going to construct entire visions of how 21st-century humans lived in a world dominated by cats

So I knew this as the "my fence fell over" problem, but apparently Google doesn't know that phrase.

Some people do not fully recover from an acute viral infection and experience persistent symptoms or incomplete recovery for months or even years. This is not unique to the SARS-CoV-2 virus and history shows that post-viral conditions like post COVID-19 condition, referred to as LC, are not new

No, it is just another variant. We do not panic, just as we do not for variants and mutations in OC43, 229E, HKU.1, NL63, RSV, seasonalç Influenza strains, etc. These are panic accounts that spread fear for clicks.

I've worked in the Australian health system, which is nowhere near as fucked & charity dependent as the US, but none of our major public hospitals would function without charitable giving. That is a *policy failure*. Public institutions shouldn't be dependent on individual whims & generosity.

I’m a dentist from India. The fluoride debate in the U.S. horrifies me While debates in the U.S. rage about potential overexposure to fluoride, people worldwide still lack basic access to it.

The fact that we are debating things like 'is preventative dental care good' is a truly dismal state of affairs.

Mexican singer Julion Alvarez postpones Texas show after US visa allegedly revoked Julión Álvarez said he had to cancel a show in Texas after his visa to enter the United States had been revoked.

Julión Álvarez was due to play at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, in the middle of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, for a sold-out concert (50,000 tickets sold), cancelled because Trump revoked visas—he has now revoked 100s of visas of Mexican singers, actors, artists and politicians... just out of spite

I spent 72 hours checking the posting times of every Gazan account I saw fundraising. More than 2/3 of them were inconsistent with Gaza but consistent with Myanmar or Cambodia, where hundreds of thousands of people are trafficked into doing scam work under threat of violence or death.

Just blocked somebody for antisemitism, which I hate. Being against the Israeli government's genocide against Palestinians is no excuse for it. Many Jewish people worldwide are working against the genocide.

I sneezed in a meeting with a government minister and something solid, wet, and chunky flew out my nose. I hadn't a clue where it went, spent 20mins in fear. Found it in my hair afterwards.
