My college aged daughter informs me that this feature already exists, basically

They already have algorithmic feeds where they try to filter by genre or mood (e.g., daily mixes) but songs come primarily from content they think you might like, rather than content you have already curated.

I would love a feature to automatically sort my Spotify favorites into playlists by genre and mood.

Surely I'm not the only one in this situation?

I recently ended up saying "that and $5 will buy you coffee", which... is an old phrase. And $5 seemed right for coffee.

I curiously looked up the original saying, and it seems to be "that and a nickel will buy you coffee".

So there has been 100x inflation since that phrase was coined!

I totally agree that sometimes I want to find a restaurant and don’t want to include fast food or takeout places.

But is there a search term that means “I just want to eat something”?

Search for “restaurant” finding two restaurants

Search for “pizza” finding two pizza places that were not found by the “restaurants” search

Note that this is not about having too many search results.

“Restaurant” won’t find pizza slice shops no matter the zoom level (understandable) but what if all I want is something to eat? Is there a search term for that?

I want to find somewhere to eat. If I type in “restaurant” I dont find some of the places I find if I type in “pizza” or “deli”.

Is there no way to search “things to eat”?
