Kansas just invalidated the drivers licenses of every trans person in the state. Theyβre being told to surrender their current licenses and get new ones listing their birth sex. No grace period. Get caught driving with your now-invalid license and youβre looking at jail and a fine.
An official letter from the Kansas Division of Vehicles dated February 23, 2026, with a redacted recipient address. The letter notifies the recipient that due to the enactment of Senate Bill 244, all Kansas driver's licenses and IDs must reflect the holder's sex at birth. It states that the recipient's current credential will become invalid immediately upon the law's publication on February 26, 2026, with no grace period. The recipient is directed to surrender their current ID to receive a new one matching their sex assigned at birth. The document concludes with instructions on how to appeal the notice if received in error, along with contact information for the department.
Kansas is sending letters to trans people telling them that their licenses will be revoked as of tomorrow and that they risk arrest for driving on a suspended license.
This is pure cruelty.

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, we remember the bright and courageous trans people whose lives were stolen by hatred. Their absence is felt across our city.
We will honor them by building a New York where every trans person can live safely, fully and freely.
Looking back years from now, it will be hard to explain how such a pathetic excuse for a human being was able to wield so much power over so many.
Trump wonβt be around for much longer and heβll never really have to answer for himself. But his enablers, especially the younger ones, will carry the shame with them for the many remaining decades of their lives.

Just imagine if all these people spoke out against Trump. His legitimacy and in turn his power would evaporate instantly. Yet instead they have allowed Trump to leverage their cowardice to create the illusion of power. Its pathetic.
Everyone in a position of power or privilege who condemns Trump behind closed doors but wonβt speak up publicly out of fear or reprisal is worthy of contempt. With great power comes great responsibility and they are shirking theirs.
