The Housemaid was a blind watch. It doesn’t do anything new but it’s a pretty entertaining movie. Amanda Seyfried is great and had the standout performance, it’s weird that I’ve never seen her in anything before.

Bela Lugosi as Dracula, scared the shit out of me as a kid, so the story is very special to me. Did we need another remake again? No, but Luc Besson’s Dracula is a decent watch, with the brilliant Christoph Waltz stealing the show.

I can’t say I’m disappointed with Scream 7, I never had high hopes after the debacle with Melissa Berrera, but it’s an ok film. It does feel like the script/movie was rushed and the killer reveals were not great. Couple of fun kills tho.

I don’t think Night Patrol is going liked by everyone, but I really enjoyed it. Bringing together the 2 types of entertainment I love, horror movies and hip hop music. A fun horror film, matching up the bloods and crips vs vampire LAPD.

Had low expectations going into We Bury The Dead, but it’s a solid zombie flick. Daisy Ridley did a good job, nice zombie designs and good practical effects. The Aussies do make good horror, shame it flopped.

Martyrs always a hard watch
Send Help is Sam Raimi’s first R rated horror in 26 years and he really needs to make more movies. Although I wish it had more gore, the film is so much fun and very entertaining, so I’m not going to complain. Rachel McAdams is fantastic.

I’ve really enjoyed the couple of films I’ve seen from the multitalented Adams family. I think their latest on Shudder, Mother Of Flies, is their best yet. A slow burn folk horror with some beautiful cinematography.

Eventually got around to watching Yellowjackets season 3 and I’m still enjoying the series, but not sure how many season they can go. This show easily switches from the horrific, to the humorous. The cast is fantastic, but Christina Ricci is the star.

One Cut of the Dead, is one of those rare films, that does something so unique and brilliant, and is also, so much fun. For its low budget, the storytelling and filmmaking was absolutely ingenious.

Making a good sequel, after a great first film, is always hard task, but Nia DaCosta did an amazing job with 28 Years Later The Bone Temple. A more darker film this time, with Ralph Fiennes the star of the show. Loved the film.

The first 2026 released horror film, starts the year off with a bang. Primate has a basic premise, but director Johannes Roberts makes it a fun ride. The film’s practical effects were amazing, fun kills and nice amount of gore. Loved it.

I really liked Influencer when it came out, so I was excited when the sequel was announced. Just finished Influencers on Shudder and it might sneak into my top 10 of the year. I hope there’s a part 3, Cassandra Naud is so good.

Catching up to one of the films I missed from earlier this year. Strange Harvest is a faux documentary/found footage film about a serial killer called Mr Shiny. A really good enjoyable film that feels like a Netflix doc. Recommended.
