Our toddler is happy, healthy & thriving because of a donor. We are beyond grateful every day. Today happens to be #NationalDonorDay - which means it’s a perfect day to register as an organ donor at registerme.org if you haven’t already.

One thing Democratic leadership could do right now is to name an alternate HHS secretary--someone to provide ongoing public updates and health information. And do it for other departments too. Start showing voters what a Democratic government would look like--press conferences, speeches, all of it.
I won’t ever take vaccines - or my daughter’s health - for granted. She still can’t get live vaccines because of immunosuppressants, so when you protect your baby, you’re also protecting mine.
My daughter was in severe heart failure the first 6 months of her life & too sick for vaccines. Transplant saved her life. A year later, we were finally able to start vaccinating. After feeling so helpless watching her fight for her life, I was grateful to do something that keeps her healthy & safe.
As the mom of a medically complex child, this absolutely boggles my mind. Having my daughter made me appreciate public health & medical science on a whole different level. I can’t imagine gutting institutions that directly help our daughter & countless other kids like her every day.

At 29 weeks pregnant, we learned my daughter had severe CHD. She had a heart transplant at 6 months & is now a thriving toddler. But she is immunosuppressed & can’t get live vaccines like MMR - she relies on herd immunity. Our family needs a strong public health system and we are terrified of #RFK.
