Dad's Dad huatled to sell eggs during the depression then completed training to be a torpedo bomber tail gunner for the Navy right be for VJ day. His mom became a wiring foreman for Boeing in WWII and worked 20 more years. Gramps sold lumber then ran his own lumber co. till retirement. Liived to 95.

Mom's Mom was a legally blind Type 1 diabetic genius who became a public school librarian and then Army base librarian in her retirement.

Mom's Dad was the youngest of 13. Put himself through college to become a shop teacher and build a series of increasingly dilapidated and incomplete houses till he retired to Alaska & built rental properties out of leftover atco trailers from the pipeline. Died a hoarder cursing the Federal reserve.

Told Mrs. TheBlog this exact statement the other night.
