Here are some examples of superficial simplicity that increase complexity and cost and reduce function: -hidden gutters; - concealed rainwater downpipes; cantilevers; parapets; - anything with no visible means of support; -shadow gap replacing skirting; avoidance of trim or architraves; • corner windows; - windows precisely aligned with ceiling or internal walls; • fully glazed façades; • pocket doors.

There’s increased complexity & cost when it comes to minimalist design. I’m guilty of three charges when it comes to designing our own house 🤫
